Shadetree offers three very unique, private retreats: The Sun Porch, Loft and Governor's Suite, each with a king-sized bed. Each has full access to the newly renovated, well stocked kitchen.  The SunPorch is pet friendly (some restrictions apply).

The Loft

Nestled at treetop level, our enchanting Loft exudes a magical charm that captivates all who enter.  With 10-foot-tall cathedral ceilings and walls crafted from Louisiana red heart Cypress, this Adirondack-style retreat offers a cozy ambiance perfect for honeymooners seeking a romantic getaway.  The old-fashioned clawfoot tub and inviting seating area provide a comfortable haven, while the balcony offers picturesque views of the garden below and the crackling outdoor campfire.  Join the many couples who have been enchanted by the allure of our Loft-the perfect setting for cherished memories and moments of serenity.

The Sun Porch

Step into the Sun Porch featuring a delightful glass-enclosed porch offering views of the historic district of Saint Francisville. Complete with a convenient wet bar and a dining area featuring comfortable banquet seating, this sunlit space is perfect for relaxation and unwinding. Guests of the Sun Porch can easily access the shaded treetop deck through a charming hobbit door, where they can enjoy views of the lush hillside. The expansive bedroom boasts a luxurious king-size bed, while the newly renovated tiled bathroom features a spacious shower, ensuring a comfortable and rejuvenating stay for our guests.

The Governor's Suite

Dedicated to the legacy of owner Kenwood Kennon's father, who served as the governor of Louisiana from 1952 to 1956, the Governor’s Suite exudes elegance and charm. Featuring a luxurious king bedroom in a newly renovated suite, this accommodation offers a blend of comfort and sophistication. The spacious bathroom showcases a large tiled shower, providing a luxurious experience for guests. Adjacent to the suite, the glass-enclosed porch includes a cozy sitting area with a selection of books in the library, while adjustable shades offer privacy and a serene atmosphere for relaxation. Rooms are available daily, and include a continental breakfast for two each morning from 8 – 9:30 at the St. Francisville Inn.  Lunch is available Wednesday – Sunday from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m at the St. Francisville Inn. Dinner is available Monday – Saturday from 5 ’til 9 at the St. Francisville Inn. We do not offer dinner on Sunday night.  Lunch is not served on Mondays or Tuesdays.  If you register as a guest, we strongly encourage you to contact the inn to make a dining reservation if you are staying with us Wednesday – Sunday, as we often book up 1-2 weeks in advance in off season, and 3-4 weeks in advance during peak season.
