The Saint Restaurant
Food like it should be
Even though The Saint Restaurant only started four years ago, its reputation has grown quickly. After only a year in business, The Saint was listed as one of metropolitan Baton Rouge’s top restaurants. In 2021, OpenTable users voted The Saint one of the top restaurants in Baton Rouge, then later in the same year voted The Saint one of the top 100 restaurants in America. In 2023, OpenTable users again voted The Saint one of the Top 100 restaurants in America, edging all but one of the old guard establishments in New Orleans.

Our Chef
When The St. Francisville Inn entered the next phase of its life, our goal was singular and focused: Raise the Bar! That meant overhauling or improving almost every aspect of The Saint Restaurant & Bar, from its culinary offerings to vendor sourcing and staff training and the wine cellars. Everything had to change for the better. And what better time to begin the evolution than when an amazing chef retires and a totally different chef begins - one with a new vision and a whole different set of skills. Meet Executive Chef Jaime Hernandez.
It is rare that a fairly new restaurant finds an amazing chef, but we did it not once, but twice. Jaime was born creole and raised creole in a family of cooks. He spent most of his life learning in and around Baton Rouge and New Orleans. Jaime’s family tree heritage is “ Isleno Creole “. Most of his career has been dedicated to working with local farmers, foragers, fisherman, or growing, foraging and hunting it on his own. He is an ingredient driven chef, so Jaime is always looking for ways to improve cuisine by making the ingredients instead of buying them premade.
He has a very seasonal mindset. His menus change quickly based on availability and even the weather.
We have no doubt that Jaime is the chef who will take us to the next level, and we are please to welcome him to the St. Francisville Inn family!!!

Our Dining Rooms
Main dining room
Sporting its hand-painted walls, grand chandelier, and fireplace, the elegant main dining room offers a formal dining option.
Sun Room
In 1880, the “sun room” was an open porch. It was later screened, then finally enclosed with large, sliding glass doors. Weather permitting, the doors are opened so diners can enjoy the sounds of the courtyard fountain.
Breakfast Room
Our breakfast room is lined with elegant English wallpaper and remains one of our most popular rooms.
